“PERSONAL COMPOSER” music notation software was originally written over twenty years ago, the programme gaining its writer a Masters Degree in Science. Since then it has been continually developed to offer the latest notation features required for classical, religious, modern and jazz music writing. Updates are developed for the programme at regular intervals, as our U.S.A. programmers keep in line with user requirements. The fully integrated Version 3 is now available, as are updates for Version 2 users.

For owners of earlier versions of the software, upgrades are available to the new PC Version 3. Regular updates are also posted and are free of charge from “Big Tick Music”. (Simply send us an email and we’ll send you the files.)
(An “upgrade” takes you to the next level of the programme, e.g. PC8 to PC16. An “update” gives you an improvement to your existing programme.)
Please note that owners of Versions 1 and 2 of “PERSONAL COMPOSER” can still open their files in the new Version 3

“PERSONAL COMPOSER” is fully MIDI compatible. Notes can be entered via a MIDI interface keyboard, computer keyboard, or mouse. The programme reads standard MIDI, RIFF MIDI and NIFF files and “PERSONAL COMPOSER” is also compatible with popular multimedia soundboards. MIDI record direct from your instrument on to one or two staves whilst other staves play back. Notes recorded in real time can be quantised for playback.
